Modern domestic spaces operate on a linear “take-use-discard” model. We are working to close this loop by strategically using microbes—the original circular economists—to transform household wastewater into bioelectricity, clean water, and nutrients for food production. This transforms homes from passive consumers into active producers of resources, offering a model for distributed infrastructure that supports both economic and environmental resilience, with the potential to contribute at the intersection of art, science, and planetary repair.
