On September 26, our Hop-on partner Faculty of Technology Novi Sad brought the Mi-Hy project to the European Researchers’ Night in Novi Sad – a huge citizen science event that attracted over 100,000 people across Serbia!
Visitors explored circular economy in action – from microbes converting household, agricultural, and industrial waste into valuable resources, to eco-friendly building materials, microbial fuel cells, electrolysis technology, hydroponics, and biofertilizers. Through games, microscopy, and hands-on activities like mixing clay with safe industrial byproducts, people got to experience the science behind creating “green materials.”
The event was part of ReFocuS FLOW and TRAILS, funded by the European Commission (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Program).
