The Mi-Hy consortium is welcoming the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad and their Department of Biotechnology and Materials Engineering as hop-on partner.

The Faculty of Technology Novi Sad is dedicated to developing new technologies, improving existing processes, and contributing to the commercialization of innovative products and services with a primary focus on technological engineering.

Led by Jovana Grahovac’s research group, this team specializes in turning waste into valuable materials and will transform waste into useful resources in two ways:

Bio-fertilizer development: The team will analyze organic materials to create high-quality bio-fertilizers, giving organic waste a sustainable second life.

Creating building materials from waste: This part of the project will develop two types of sustainable ceramics: one that combines organic waste with industrial waste such as fly ash to create new ceramic materials, and another that uses microbial processes to produce bio-bricks through calcite formation.

We look forward to the innovative research and technologies that will emerge from this collaboration!
